Earwigs range in color from black to red to brown and range from 5-25mm in length. They’re slender and move quickly along the ground.
Earwigs got their name from an old wives’ tale that they burrow into your brain through your ear canal. However, they do not actually do this. A few have been found in ears before but they don’t burrow into your brain or lay eggs. This is just a myth.
